no photos

Sorry, there will be no photos of the apartment. Mom was having a rough morning so I didn't feel like I could leave her to take the photos. When I called Dad to relay what was going on, he came over to the hospital and forgot to bring the address. He can post that later.

So at 8 am they woke mom to take her for more testing which this time I was able to go with her. An ECHO, ultrasound of the heart with contrast took a little more than an hour to complete. We are waiting for the results of all the test, in fact the doc should be in soon. We did find out from the nurse practioner that mom's kidneys are doing well. We also learned that her mental state is normal for one receiving such a high dose of chemo. We were worried about all the sleeping and being confused, but they are not. She told us that if the docs are not worried we don't get to worry.

So she recieved her last dose of chemo at midnight so now it is just getting it all flushed from her body. She should become more awake and coordinated in the next 24 hours. Before she can leave the hospital, she has to be eating, drinking, sitting up most of the day and walking around the unit. Basically they want her as good as she came in, before leaving.

We are hopeful that she will be discharged over the weekend but it also could be Monday.
