apartment hunting

Yeah, we found an apartment and will post photos and address tomorrow on move in day. Funny story on how this all came about. Dad and I had decided not to wait on the housing program thru the local churches and go out hunting on our own. Lots of phone calls later we agreed to look at two apartments, one was very RITZY and expensive. The other apartment we felt was very nice and met all our requirements but still a little pricey, but after all this is TEXAS (as they tell us). Dad was just getting ready to read the contract and we had agreed on this apartment, when his cellphone rang. You wouldn't believe it....the housing program thru a church had an apartment available today. The lady that had been hosting our apartment tour was very nice and encouraged us to go look at the other apartment before making our decision. Good move!!!! This apartment is 1/2 the price! It is a one bedroom (king size bed), a roll away cot, nice bathroom, cozy kitchen with all appliances and nice floor arrangement of furniture. The couch is even sleepable, since I napped on it while Dad made the financial arrangemets. The complex is gated, has a nice pool and laundry facilities. The apartment is very homey and decorated well. We hope Mom will be very pleased especially since there is a recliner for her.
