Visit with Doctor

Well, the big day arrived - we met with the doctor about the CT Scan and lab resuilts. Platelets were 22, no surprise to me.The really bad news is that the tumors have grown. The doctor explained that the level of chemo that I can tolerate is not enough to effectively stop the tumors from growing. Increasing the dose would cause dangerous side effects. He doesn't believe there is any other chemo drug for my type of cancer that would be any better. He recommended that we stop the chemo and avoid the negative side effects. So, for now there is no further chemo scheduled.

After further discussion at home, we want to ask the doctor some more questions before accepting this direction. We are also considering getting a second opinon.

We certainly appreciate your care and prayers, especially during this time of making important decisions.
