Good news - bad news
Saw therapist this am and got both legs wrapped - Ron was amazed at how much my right leg had gone down since he had rewrapped it 24 hours ealier. For the bad news - platelet count went from 142 to 57, so no chemo - my body is just going to fight this chemo. The hemoglobin went from 10 to 8.8 which is too high to transfuse but sure takes any energy I have away. Plan to take it easy this weekend around the apartment - Ron is going to Topeka to see his Mom in the hospital - need prayers for her. Jasmine will come babysit me. Stacey may go with Ron - Michelle and family are going to Topeka also - too many bugs for me and tire easily. Keep the prayers coming - I have to do a better job thinking 80. Love to all! Cheryl

Good news: legs are better and your platelet count didn't drop as low this time. Bad news: we didn't do a good enough job of praying and passing positive vibes your way to keep you at 80 or above this week. We all will work extra hard this week to get you there. Stay strong, stay positive. Soldier awaits you once you've gone into remission.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your brother. Stay srong and stay positive. Becky and I will be coming to Topeka also tomorrow. We are leaving here at noon and flying to KC via Denver. Plan to be in Topeka around 8 or 8:30. I hope we will be able to see as many of your family members as we can. You are always in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteDitto to Daryl's message......very well said. I, too, feel we all need to pray a little more intently and continue to send those positive thoughts your way, Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteYou have a group of very devoted supporters out here. We're behind you 100+% and I assure you we will keep pressing onward in our quest to assist you in reaching 80 or higher this week. Hope you are able to get a lot of good rest this weekend. So glad to hear the leg wrapping is effective....that's definitely a plus! Lots of prayers are coming your way from here, Cheryl, and also praying for Ron's Mom, as well.
