We got to go to Soldier and it was just what we needed. Of course I really did not need all the favorite foods my mother made but sure enjoyed them. Saturday at Mom and Chuck's, My two brothers and wives, 2 nephews, 2 great nephews, 1 great niece, daughter, Michelle, Jolene and Justine all enjoyed the day. It was great just sitting outside in the fresh air and the weather was beautiful.
Today, we went to church and it was great seeing all the people there who are praying for me and thank them. Later after lunch Linda and Larrry Van Donge came to visit.
Ron was able to play golf both days with his brother, Doug. Perfect weather and he is feeling some sore muscles tonight. It was good for him to get out and do something he enjoys.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful weekend--all your favorite foods, family, and old friends--can't beat that! I'm so glad you felt up to going. Hope your week goes well. I think of you all often and always have good wishes for your health and happiness. Marion
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed the weekend in Soldier and that the weather was fantastic. The kids all enjoyed seeing you and I know you really enjoyed stopping by our place on the way back to KC and getting to see and hold the twins again. Seemed like old times at the farm Saturday. Let's do it again soon at Mom's bed & breakfast! Praying your platelettes rise this week and you can get the last 1/2 dose of chemo.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, it sounds like you had a wonderful time back in Soldier. I'm sure it's great anytime you get to see Justine and Jolene. Tell Ron I'm also getting out to the golf course more often now. It may be a little warmer here than back there but it is fun to get out. Best wishes this coming week. Hope your readings are good so you can get back on your regimen.
