This will be our last update until we reach Kansas City as the internet connection has to be taken back to the cable store. No cable or internet tonight, but I think we'll survive. We'll be plenty busy getting everything around in the apartment. So far most everything is done, except the bedroom - the biggest task.
We have accomplished one HUGE task today - and that is getting mom's appointment with the oncology doctor in Kansas City. Thanks to mom's wonderful primary doctor/ nurse (his wife) they were able to get us an appointment for Thur afternoon. Way to go Gina, you're the best!
Mom seems to be in better spirits today and has even been up watching CSI with me. The goal is to hopefully be able to go out to dinner one last time tonight before leaving bright and early (6:00am) in the morning. We will be sure to update the blog once we are home and settled in.

Mom and dad hardly ever check their mail at their apartment and I will be visiting at least daily so I can be sure to get anything to her.

We can't wait to get you guys safely home! I will be journeying to KC tomorrow and then on to Soldier. I will be looking forward to seeing Cheryl and Ron when they make it up to Soldier!! Safe travel mercies to all!!
